The Connaught Patisserie

Pastel on Mount Street

The Connaught Patisserie on Mount Street was the first London palace counter: a small pastel-pink room where the hotel’s cakes, tarts and macarons are sold by the piece in boxes tied with ribbon.

The counter opened in 2019 on the Mount Street side of the hotel, designed in pale pink and gold with a glass display of small entremets, tarts, macarons and biscuits from the Connaught pastry kitchen. It sells whole celebration cakes to order, seasonal collections at Christmas and Easter, and the hotel’s afternoon tea pastries by the piece; a few stools by the window are the only seats.

It is the London answer to Le Comptoir: a palace kitchen at pavement prices, and a walk through Mayfair afterwards.
