Cédric Grolet at The Berkeley

Cédric Grolet’s first boutique outside France opened in 2023 on the Knightsbridge side of The Berkeley: the sculpted fruit, the flower tarts, the croissants and a small salon for the Grolet tea.

The Berkeley gave Grolet a corner of the hotel facing Knightsbridge, and London queued from the first day. The counter sells the pieces of the Paris houses, the fruit, the flower tarts, the cookies, the croissants, with a few London additions, and the salon behind it serves the Grolet afternoon tea, a sculptural alternative to the hotel’s own Prêt-à-Portea.

The London counter is easier than the rue de Castiglione: bigger, open longer, and with a café. The fruit still sells out; come before noon.
