Jean-Georges at The Connaught
Tea in the conservatory
The Connaught serves afternoon tea at Jean-Georges, the glass conservatory on the corner of Carlos Place, with a lighter, modern tier and the hotel’s patisserie counter a few steps away on Mount Street.
The conservatory is bright and calm, with Mayfair passing outside the glass. The tea is lighter than the grand salons: sandwiches with a modern accent, scones, a pastry tier from the same kitchen as the Connaught Patisserie. The tea list is short and well chosen.
It is the Mayfair tea for a weekday without a booking, and the counter next door sells the pieces to take home.
