Paris · Four Seasons Hotel George V
La Galerie, George V
Flowers and very little sugar
La Galerie at the George V serves Michael Bartocetti’s tea among the hotel’s famous flower installations: fewer pieces, less sugar, the quiet tea of the golden triangle.
The gallery opens onto the marble courtyard and is dressed with the flower sculptures the hotel is known for. The stand is restrained: sandwiches, a scone, four pastries built around vanilla, honey and the fruit of the market. The tea list is deep and the service unhurried.
It is the tea for people who find most afternoon teas too sweet, and it is easier to book than its neighbours.
