Le Dalí

Tea under the Starck ceiling

Tea score 83 · €98 per person

Afternoon tea at Le Dalí, the restaurant of Le Meurice with a canvas ceiling painted by Ara Starck, is built around Cédric Grolet’s sculpted fruit: the only tea where the centrepiece is a lemon.

Le Dalí is a bright, high room off the lobby, with a ceiling canvas by Philippe Starck’s daughter and furniture that nods to the surrealist who lived upstairs. The tea comes on a stand with sandwiches, the pastries of the day from the Grolet kitchen and a piece of fruit, the sculpted kind, per guest; the tea list runs from Chinese whites to Darjeelings.

It is the most photographed tea in Paris and books out early; the weekday sittings are the ones to try for.
