The Gotham Lounge on the mezzanine of the Peninsula New York serves the group’s afternoon tea over the Beaux-Arts staircase, with a seasonal themed tier and the classic beside it.
The lounge sits above the lobby staircase with Fifth Avenue through the tall windows. The tea follows the Hong Kong model: sandwiches, scones, a themed pastry tier several times a year, a classic tier always, the Peninsula teas. Tax and gratuity come on top.
It is the pastry choice among the Fifth Avenue teas and easier to book than the Plaza.
