The Butterfly Room, Rosewood Hong Kong
Sculpted cakes and the harbour
The Butterfly Room at Rosewood Hong Kong serves the afternoon tea that has become the reservation of the city: sculptural cakes from Butterfly Patisserie, a themed tier several times a year and the Island skyline in the window.
The room sits in the lobby tower with floor-to-ceiling windows onto Victoria Harbour; the tea comes with sandwiches, scones and a themed tier of small sculpted cakes that changes with the season and the collaborations of the hotel, and a tea list with rarities.
It books out a month ahead; Butterfly Patisserie downstairs sells the same pieces by the counter.
