Xocolat
Vienna’s modern chocolatier
Xocolat, in the arcade of the Palais Ferstel and on the Freyung, is Vienna’s modern chocolate house: bean-to-bar tablets, bonbons with Austrian flavours, apricot, pumpkin seed, Zirbe, and a manufactory in the 9th district.
The house opened in 1998 as a shop for the world’s best chocolate and grew into a maker: its manufactory produces bars from selected origins and bonbons with the flavours of the country, Wachau apricot, pumpkin-seed oil, pine, poppy. The Palais Ferstel shop in the arcade with the Café Central next door is the Vienna address.
It is the chocolate to buy in a city of tortes: modern, precise, Austrian.
