The tallest chocolate fountain
The Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg, opened in 2020 beside the factory, is a museum with a nine-metre chocolate fountain, a tasting course, a chocolateria and the largest Lindt shop in the world, fifteen minutes from the Paradeplatz.
Rodolphe Lindt invented the conche in 1879 and made Swiss chocolate smooth; the company built its museum on the lakeside site of the factory with a fountain that runs with 1,500 kilos of chocolate. The tour explains cacao from bean to bar, the tasting room serves every Lindt product, and the shop sells pick-and-mix Lindor balls by the kilo and limited editions found nowhere else.
It is the industrial chapter of the Zurich chocolate story and a proper afternoon with children.
