Chocolaterie de Monaco
Purveyor to the Prince
The Chocolaterie de Monaco has supplied the Princely Palace since 1920 and sells its bars, pralines and the red-and-white boxes of the principality from a shop on the Rock and a boutique in the Métropole gallery.
The house was founded in 1920 in La Condamine and became purveyor to the Prince; its shop near the palace on the Rock is the atmospheric one, with a small tea room, and the boutique in the Métropole shopping gallery is the convenient one. The chocolate is classical Franco-Belgian: pralines, ganaches, bars with the arms of Monaco, a chocolate coin, and seasonal boxes for the Grand Prix and Christmas.
A bar of the Prince’s chocolate is the souvenir of the principality that does not embarrass.
