Al Nassma

Chocolate from camel milk

Al Nassma, founded in Dubai in 2008, was the first house to make chocolate from camel milk at scale: lighter, slightly salty bars and pralines in gold-embossed boxes with a camel on the lid, sold in the malls and at the airport.

The company was founded with the Emirate’s camel dairy and makes its chocolate with camel milk powder instead of cow milk, which gives a lighter, drier sweetness and a faint salinity. The range runs from a 70 percent dark with camel milk to milk bars with dates, honey or Arabic spices, pralines, and camel-shaped hollow figures for children.

It is the Dubai chocolate with a real idea, and the 70 percent bar is the one for dark chocolate people.
