Philippe Conticini
The Paris-Brest house
Philippe Conticini’s boutique on the rue de Varenne sells the Paris-Brest with the liquid praline heart, the Saint-Honoré, the tarte Tatin and the cakes of the chef who taught a generation: the classic, rebuilt.
The shop opened in 2018 near the Musée Rodin with the pieces that made Conticini a name: the Paris-Brest crown, the Saint-Honoré with caramel choux, the tarte Tatin, a chocolate cake, and a range of biscuits and cakes to take home. The room is warm and unfussy, the pieces generous.
Further shops opened in Paris and abroad; the rue de Varenne is the one to visit after the Rodin garden.
