Mont St. Clair
Tsujiguchi’s house
Mont St. Clair in Jiyugaoka is the house of Hironobu Tsujiguchi, the pastry chef behind Le Chocolat de H: a large counter of entremets, tarts and chocolates that made Jiyugaoka the pastry village of Tokyo.
Tsujiguchi opened the shop in 1998 and built a pastry empire from it; the Jiyugaoka mother house has a long counter of small cakes, the C’est la vie signature, the seasonal fruit pieces, chocolates, viennoiserie and a salon. The pieces are French in form with Japanese fruit and a lighter sugar.
It is the second stop of the Jiyugaoka afternoon and the one with the biggest choice.
