Christophe Michalak’s Saint-Germain boutique sells his Kosmik desserts in glasses, religieuses, choux and cakes with a rock-and-roll idea of the classic, a few streets from Saint-Sulpice.
The shop is bright and playful: the Kosmik, a dessert in a glass with layers of cream, crunch and fruit; the religieuses in caramel and chocolate; the choux; a Paris-Brest; and a counter of cookies and cakes. Michalak’s television fame brings the crowd, his palace years bring the precision.
The Marais shop is the other address; Saint-Germain is the one with the square nearby to eat on.
