Sant Francesc Hotel Singular
A palace in the old town
The Sant Francesc in a nineteenth-century mansion on the Plaça de Sant Francesc is Palma’s most refined small hotel, with a breakfast and an afternoon that put the ensaimada on porcelain.
The mansion of a Palma family on the square of the Basilica of Sant Francesc opened as a hotel in 2015 with frescoed ceilings, a courtyard and a rooftop pool over the old town. Its kitchen treats the island’s pastry as a fine one: the ensaimada arrives at breakfast in its own basket, the gató d’ametlla with almond ice cream closes the dinner menu, and the courtyard serves a merienda in the afternoon with the island’s cocas and a coffee.
The hotel is a five-minute walk from Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo and Fornet de la Soca, which makes it the natural base for a sweet day in Palma.
