The Gourmet Shop, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo

The Gourmet Shop on the ground floor of the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo sells the cakes, breads and chocolates of a pastry team that has won international competitions, beside the Nihonbashi depachika.

The shop opened with the hotel in 2005 and became a Nihonbashi landmark: a counter of seasonal fruit tarts, entremets, chocolates and breads from the hotel’s pastry kitchen, whose chefs have represented Japan in world competitions. The seasonal collections, strawberry in winter, peach in summer, chestnut in autumn, are the pieces to buy, and the chocolates travel.

Combine it with the Mitsukoshi depachika two minutes away for the full Nihonbashi afternoon.
