Limbar, Cheval Blanc Paris

A café on the quay

Limbar is the ground-floor café of Cheval Blanc Paris: Maxime Frédéric’s croissants and cakes sold at a counter with tables on the quai du Louvre and the Pont-Neuf in view.

The café opened with the palace in 2021 and became the way Paris uses Cheval Blanc: an early croissant with the river, a cake at four, a glass in the evening. Maxime Frédéric’s pastry is built on his family’s Normandy farm, butter, cream, honey, buckwheat, and the counter sells his viennoiserie in the morning, his tarts and entremets through the day and a small afternoon tea in the salon.

Limbar does not take bookings for the quay tables, which are the best seats of the palace; inside, the counter and the bar keep the same pieces.
