Péclard im Schober

The fairytale tea room

Péclard in the old Conditorei Schober on the Napfgasse is the fairytale tea room of the Niederdorf: painted ceilings, gilded mirrors, hot chocolate under the chandeliers and a counter of cakes and pralines since 1874.

The Conditorei Schober was Zurich’s most romantic tea room for a century; Péclard took it over and kept the rooms: painted ceilings, red velvet, a winter garden, a staircase of mirrors. The counter sells cakes, pralines and the house’s truffles; the tea room serves hot chocolate, cakes and a small afternoon tea in rooms that look like a Christmas card.

It is the Zurich of the old town, and the hot chocolate is the reason.
