Sculpted fruit under the equator
Cédric Grolet opened his first Southeast Asian boutique at COMO Orchard in 2023: the sculpted fruit, the flower tarts and the croissants of Paris in a bright room on Orchard Road, with a queue in the tropical heat.
The boutique sits in the COMO Orchard building with a café and a counter of the Paris repertoire adapted to the tropics: mango and passion fruit among the sculpted fruit, the flower tarts, the cookies, the croissants in the morning. The pieces are limited per person and sell out by mid-afternoon; the café serves them with a coffee in the cool.
It is the reason Singapore joined the guide, and the fruit is the reason to queue.
