Janice Wong’s 2am:dessertbar in Holland Village serves only plated desserts, until two in the morning, paired with wines and cocktails: dessert as an evening, painted across the plate.
The bar opened in 2007 and is dark, small and late: a menu of plated desserts, Wong’s painterly compositions of sauces, textures and Southeast Asian flavours, pandan, calamansi, kaya, chocolate, with a wine and cocktail pairing. It is where Singapore goes after dinner for the sweet course.
Take three desserts and the pairing after eleven; the bar is the point.
